LRV-28 GORILLA - Gibbon Unit by ChroniclesofMan LRV-28 GORILLA - Gibbon Unit by ChroniclesofMan
THE LRV-28 Ground Operations, Reconnaissance, Intelligence, Logistics, and Light Armor Vehicle system is the Alliance's latest and greatest multi-function ground operations platform. Designed for streamlining repair, refit, and support operations for deployed Marines, GORILLA is intended to serve a number roles (as its name suggests).

The Above variant was the first unit deployed, the "Gibbon"is the general infantry support. Fitted with a 70 caliber anti-personnel chain gun, 2 UAV recon drones, 4 anti-air missiles and 4 anti-tank missiles, the Gibbon is the go to vehicle for scouting, recon, and general infantry support. Often seen patrolling the spaces of the Alliance and serving the Marines in light deployments and sustained engagements, the Gibbon has the potential to quickly become the go to vehicle/face of the Alliance Mechanized Infantry.

Considering how you've integrated grav tech into your setting, I take it the missiles are all VLS and just use a booster charge to get out of the tube, after which they use thrusters to align themselves in the general direction of where they need to go before kicking in the grav impellers and going hypervelocity?

And wouldn't it make more sense to just use one type of missile with a multi-function warhead? Anti-air it splits into a cloud of darts just before impact, anti-armor, the warhead doesn't activate and the missile just impacts as a monolithic slug?

I LIKE IT! [link] To me it feels like an intermediary between a pure APC [link] , a utility vehicle, and an armored scout / getaway car like the Tumbler [link] .

Questions:
1) By "Designed for streamlining repair, refit, and support operations", do you mean "designed to be easily repaired" or "designed to be useful for servicing other vehicles"?
2) What is the little cluster of blue circles in front of the rear wheel?

1) I mean that by having the same general platform for multiple classes/types of vehicles, repair/service is streamlined because the same engineer knows how to work on it and the others.
2) Those are the hook ups for the fusion cells.

A multi purpose ground vehicle capable of mowing enemy infantry, and serving as a mobile outpost of sorts? You really think of everything don't you? It's like the Pelican from the Halo series, only ground bound.

Awesome.
Makes me want to go running over drones in a stolen EDF jeep on Mars.

So this is the standard mechanized combat vehicle or your marines? As in something that replaces IFVs, APCs, dedicated scout vehicles (HMMWVs and variants), etc? Or does yor military still use such vehicle classes?
Man, I'd love to see fully detailed 3-views or even a model of this beauty

Nice!
I like the designe, feels like a cross between a Jeep and a sports car.
Good idea putting in missiles, that should enhance the Gorillas deffensive capabilities and thus its survivabillity in case of an open field battle.
I have two questions thou.
Does it have "Gravitron Batteries" for aktive shielding and even "mass compensation"?
Also, does it maintain a remote controll option for the turret (for the sake of the gunner)?

Question 1: These have very limited gravity barriers. They won't be glancing off heavy tank shells.
Question 2: Yes it does have remote operation capabilities.

This is the term we use in the industry to define all future concepts for armored fighting vehicles. We have many of them on the market to suit any budget. From Oshkosh, Dingo, Ejder, etc...
